Affiliate disclosure

ShadeMe participates in affiliate programs, including the SeatGeek Partner Program. This means that when you click a ticket link on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. We only link to tickets for the team and venue you're viewing, and our shade recommendations are generated by our sun/shade model, not influenced by commissions. Affiliate links are labeled where they appear. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255).

What we collect

ShadeMe is designed to be privacy-light. The core shade tool runs in your browser and does not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or payment information.

Weather data: to show live conditions, your selected stadium's coordinates are sent to a third-party weather provider (Open-Meteo). We do not send your personal location unless you request it.
Analytics: we may use privacy-respecting analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand aggregate, anonymized usage — which stadiums and pages are popular. This may set cookies.
Affiliate / ad partners: SeatGeek (via the Impact network) and any advertising partners may set their own cookies when you click their links, used to attribute referrals and serve relevant content.

Cookies

Cookies may be set by our analytics and by affiliate/advertising partners. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies will not break the shade tool.

Third-party services

We rely on: Open-Meteo (weather), SeatGeek/Impact (ticket affiliate links), our hosting provider (Netlify), and potentially analytics and advertising networks. Each operates under its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review theirs.

Your choices

You can use the shade tool without clicking any ticket links. You can block cookies in your browser. If you're in a region with privacy rights (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), you may have rights regarding data held about you by our analytics or partners — contact us and we'll help direct your request.

Not affiliated with MLB or any team

ShadeMe is an independent tool. Team and stadium names are used descriptively to identify venues. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball or any club.
